Music is My Melody

Having recently finished the Johnny Cash biography, /The Man Called Cash/ atop general musing on my part, I think I’ve finally come to acknowledge the sheer significance of music in all its forms on me and my life in general. Sounds dramatic? Most probably. But genuinely it is genuinely how it feels.

So I’ve decided to make a change. As from now I’m going to make a conscious effort on a couple of levels. One is that any future gifts I buy from people will be, where possible or barring requests, be music related of some sort and carrying some form of personal message in their midst.
Secondly I’m going to seek out an acoustic guitar and a decent teach-yourself book that I can work on whilst on the boat and continue when I’m home. It means the reading will become more sporadic but its something I feel I should make the effort on. If anyone catches me using the old excuse, “I don’t have the time”, please do two things:

1. Kick me in the balls
2. Tell me I’m speaking shite

Thanks.

Its weird how a few albums and a decent book can make you realize things.

In addition to the above, I’m also trying to start jot random things down as they come to me, perhaps in the way of writing some shitty form of poetry or general lyrics. That’s what the ‘Waxing Lyrical’ category is about. This could take a while…
