Those damn Swedes get all the luck… First, expensive beer, now this.
I’m already booking my tickets – who’s with me?
“It is nice someone feels compelled to take on our musical history,” the group said in a statement.
Actually, I find it surprising – no, shocking – and slightly amusing, but it’s good to see they still have their modesty.
It took organisers two years to convince the foursome, who continue to sell nearly three million records each year, that the project was a good idea.
Inappropriate use of the term ‘good idea’ methinks… and also rather desperate that somebody would take the effort over two years and still not realize that in fact, maybe it’s a shit idea.
The couple behind the project, Ulf Westman and his wife, Ewa Wigenheim-Westman came up with the idea after visiting the Beatles museum in Liverpool.
Not to be judgemental, but I find it disturbing that The Beatles and Abba are grouped together like that. In my mind they both brought different things to the music scene. And let’s face it, Abba didn’t bring John Lennon…
Stockholm mayor Kristina Axen Olin believes the museum will attract 500,000 people a year.
